“Crumb And Get It” Business Owner to Biden Visit: You’re Not Invited
This is hilarious… glad to see a small business owner stick to his principles. When the Biden advance team asked Chris McMurray if the Vice President could visit his cookie shop, he flatly refused! Here’s why:
“Very simply, ‘you didn’t build that’” McMurray said. “Speaking of small businesses and entrepreneurs all across this country and actually last night my wife was up all night. No sleep, she’s worked a full 24 hours.”
When “Crumb and Get It” said ‘no’, “River City Grill,” just around the corner, said ‘yes’ and has the pictures to prove it, and didn’t care about the politics.
C’mon! You gotta give it up to the guy! He could have gotten lots of press from the Biden visit, but instead took a stand for business!
Here’s the back story, we’re told that shortly after Crumb and Get It told Biden’s advance people ‘no’ — the secret service walked in and told Chris McMurray ”Thanks for standing up and saying ‘no’ — then they bought a whole bunch of cookies and cupcakes.
McMurray said he’s hoping folks will understand he just didn’t want to be part of a photo op for an administration whose policies he doesn’t agree with.
Wow, that’s harsh – even the Secret Service thanked him! Though, maybe they were just still stinging from the Colombian prostitute debacle. In any case, great job Chris! I hope he gets lots of business!!

When I first started routing people over to the facebook page for “Crumb and Get It”, they had 295 likes. Today, Thursday as of 9:30 AM, they have 1,931 likes! Great job everyone… thanks for showing your support for that business.

Three hours later, “Crumb and Get It” has 3,083 likes. This is growing faster than the federal debt! [by proportion]

As of 6PM, they have more than 6,000 likes! And I’m hearing reports that they ran out of food because there were so many customers!

The Secret Service has denied making any statement of support to the baker. By the way, their FB page has 9,000 “likes” as of 11AM Friday.
