Rush Caves To Slutgate Pressure from Leftist Media Whores

The leftwing media liberal industrial complex can score one in the win column today. They have wrestled Rush Limbaugh into an apology, and they’re going to try to get him fired from his position behind the golden EIB microphone.

In an act of “illustrating the absurd through absurdity” that he has come to be known for, he said on his radio show:

“What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke [sic] who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex — what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.”

That’s all it took for the media to find a new target to meet their goal of smearing conservatives with accusations of misogyny.

Again, the same old tactics arose. News reporters demanded statements from politicians. If they defended Rush, as Santorum did, they were similarly labeled as women-haters, and if they tried to steer away from his comments as Newt did, it was taken as proof that Rush’s comment was so atrocious, that even normally bigoted conservatives couldn’t contenance his statement.

Thank goodness Carly Fiorina took time away on her slow trip towards obscurity to help the leftist media one last time. Speaker John Boehner similarly showed his lack of media savvy by agreeing that Rush should not have made his comments.

And of course, Mitt Romney’s pollsters hadn’t finished programming his response into his memory banks yet, so he gave some tepid reply that he’ll flip flop on once his batteries are fully charged.

Finally, those totalitarian defenders of free speech went after Rush Limbaugh’s advertisers, by spurring their zombie-brained adherents to overwhelm companies with tweets and emails of fake outrage.

One by one, the companies cowered and folded to the pressure, until Rush had to give in and make this statement today:

…I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

The opening salvo of this ongoing culture war was Obama’s incredible assault on religious conscience when he changed the rules pertaining to what kind of contraceptives and abortifacients have to be provided through health insurance. Immediately a sleeping Catholic giant awoke and condemnations starting flying at the administration from a voting bloc that voted slightly in favor for bush in 2004, but made solid gains for Obama in 2008.

TO strike back, Obama called in his most loyal army, the leftist media machine, to turn the narrative from religious liberty, to social conservatism, and into women’s civil rights, amazingly. They employed their old tricks – peppering media outlets with images of conservatives being overtly religious, and emphasizing any time someone on our side of the aisle mentioned anything even remotely having to do with social issues.

They even received some help from our side, as media outlets like The Drudge Report seized this opportunity to pound on Santorum, label him a social values extremist, and help Mitt Romney’s chances in the primary election.

After her congressional testimony, there were howls of laughter and mockery from the right, as she detailed the voluminous rates at which her gaping maw devours birth control – she reiterated the figure of $3,000 through her twitter account. Immediately, conservatives, partly taking the media bait, calculated that she could have purchased enough condoms to have random romantic encounters with her Georgetown classmates five times each day!

Unfortunately for Rush, the right wing just isn’t as coordinate and organized as the left, and he has fallen victim to their machiavellian machinations with his apology.

Their fake outrage is proven by the fact that even now that he’s apologized, they will continue their crusade to shut him up by targeting his advertisers. They have a vendetta against our cute lovable little fuzzball, as many largely credit him with the Republican gains in the nineties, and the remaking of the media landscape to allow conservatives to have a voice.

They will do everything they can to get revenge by shutting down that voice.

Let’s hope that we aren’t ultimately undone by the Faustian bargain that Drudge and others have made with the diabolical liberals.
