DENIED! Batkid Refuses To Meet Obama For His Photo Op Request

batkid-obama

We really can’t blame Obama for wanting to meet with the now world-famous ‘Batkid’ from San Francisco, who warmed our hearts with his ‘Make-A-Wish’ dream come true. But we can’t blame Batkid for denying him the opportunistic photo op – he’s got his own popularity to look after!

From SFist:

President Obama is visiting San Francisco this week on a fundraising mission to meet with his historically lucrative donor base in the Bay Area. After Team Obama crafted a special message to Batkid on his big day earlier this month, the White House reached out to the young celebrity and cancer patient for a one-on-one meeting on Miles “Batkid” Scott’s home turf. Unfortunately for the President, Miles was already booked today on Good Morning America where the young hero got to meet lower-ranking Democrat George Stephanopoulos instead.

Wow. The president gets snubbed in favor of George Stephanopoulos? I bet Obama was bummed he couldn’t use that photo to fundraise.

For Posterity’s Sake, My LiveTweeting Of Obama’s Apology Press Conference

I had so much joy come out of Obama’s speech last week, I want to read and reread my livetweeting about it.

Still on a high from that amazing press conference.

The Perils of Blogging

Just a few tweets:

Martin Bashir said a very awful thing because he is a degenerate. The internet reacted:

The next day, I thought to see if he had ever made the same comparison. He had. I tweeted it.

Four hours later, someone at the Examiner discovered the exact same thing!

An hour later, Twitchy credits the Examiner:

I waited, stupidly,  until the next morning to post it on IJreview.

The next day, Breitbart.com cites the Examiner:

Who’s credited? The examiner, not the Mexaminer.

The moral of the story? Don’t tweet out your story scoops until you’ve posted them, gringos.

A Timeline Of What Alec Baldwin Did To Get Suspended From MSNBC

For most conservatives, seeing Obama admit that his signature legislation that bears his name is an abject failure is the height of schadenfreude material. For me, it’s Alec Baldwin being suspended from his MSNBC show for his erratic and violent behavior. Ok, it’s both, most the Obama thing, but also the Alec thing.

In case you haven’t heard of the amazing events that led to his inglorious suspension, here is a timeline of “What Alec Did,” for your education and humor.

Valentines Day 2010: He takes this crazy lady to dinner. There are two versions of this event. Her version: it was her “dream date,” after which they had sex at a Manhattan hotel, and he promised to make her an omelet. His version: he took her to dinner because he’s a nice guy (no really, that’s his story), and because she’s the mistress of “Scarface” producer Martin Bregman. Martin says Alec is a liar. Seems legit.

A shorter long time ago: Crazy lady starts demanding attention from him, his girlfriend (later wife) Hilaria doesn’t appreciate it, and calls the cops on her.

Even shorter time ago: Crazy lady stalks Alec, creates a Twitter account to harass him and Hilaria. He actually gets his dim-witted followers to attack her on Twitter! She suspends her account.

Ironically, he had also created a fake Twitter persona to attack his critics too! But I digress.

Crazy lady accosts Alec at a film screening he’s hosting.

April 2012: She tries to contact him at his apartment, then-fiance Hilaria has her arrested.

Thursday, November 14th: The Crazening!

After a few days of a crazy criminal trial, Alec wins and crazy lady Genevieve Sabourin is sentenced to jail for 6  months. Rather than celebrate this rather fortunate turn of events, Alec threatens a photographer, chasing him down the street. Spotting another paparazzi, he makes chase again, but thinks better of it, and mutters, reportedly, “c***sucking f*g!

Alec defends himself on Twitter after TMZ posts the video of his muttering what sounds like a homophobic slur – his defense? He was saying “fathead” not the slur! He’s since deleted the tweets, but here they are!

Alas, that apology wasn’t enough! Not enough people believed him this time, especially after the last Twitter homophobic rant in June, when he called a gay reporter a “toxic little queen,” and then tweeted,”[I’d] put my foot up your f***ing a**, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much!”

Apparently, his “get out of homophobic rants” card is all punched out, because liberals (finally) had enough, and started calling him out.

Gay CNN anchor Anderson Cooper ripped into him.

Gay blogger Andrew Sullivan railed into him.

Someone from the gay advocate group GLAAD told him “c***sucker” is actually a gay slur, so he apologized for that!

Ah well, that’s a happy ending, right? No! Little did we know this was only the beginning!

Friday, November 15th: EndGame!

Alec Baldwin threatens a Fox News reporter twice. Then he assaults another reporter, knocking his camera-phone out of his hand. A different Fox News reporter tries to ask Hilaria about this assault, and she accuses the reporter of trying to knock her teeth out!

In order to prove that he’s not a homophobe, Alec Baldwin actually trots out his gay hairdresser to show that he plays nice with some gay people. Ah, the old, “I can’t be a homophobe, my hairdresser is gay” defense. Well played, Alec!

At this point, he actually hires some tough guys to help him push away the paparazzi! A shoving match ensues, police are called out, and general pandemonium breaks out. It’s at this point that Alec finds the woman Hilaria has accused of trying to knock her teeth out, and starts berating the woman, eventually yelling at cops that he wants to press charges!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z9FDD7udJE

After berating the reporter, Alec tries to drive away, but clips the car in front of him. This is not the best day for Alec. More ruckus as Alec gets the guy’s info so that he can pay for the damage to his car.

Unfortunately for our serenity-challenged friend, that was just too much! Later that evening he tweeted this message, seemingly anticipating the announcement from MSNBC:

https://twitter.com/ABFalecbaldwin/status/401466503889178624

And a statement of apology:

https://twitter.com/ABFalecbaldwin/status/401509935231795200

But by then, the axe had fallen! MSNBC announced that his show – which had barely been on the air for a month – was suspended for two weeks!

There you have it – an attempt at a comprehensive timeline of all the insanity that Alec Baldwin has foisted on the poor unsuspecting American public!

And not to toot my own horn, but I kinda predicted this two weeks ago:

Losing the show is negative viewership, right?

In any case, please feel free to ask Capital One and Hulu if they’re still comfortable having this homophobe be their spokesperson.

The TIME Cover And Alec Baldwin’s Hypocritical Homophobia

One of the best examples of liberal hypocrisy is the continued love and admiration for Alec Baldwin despite the many examples of public violence and homophobia. If he were Republican, we might see more magazine covers like this one!

Must Watch: White Guy Pretends To Be Black Guy And Wins Election In Predominantly Black District

In the broad spectrum of humor-based social experiments, the election of Dave Wilson to the Houston Community College System is one of the more hilarious, and somewhat depressing, expressions about the state of race relations in America.

Why is that?

Because he’s a white guy who won an election against a black man in a predominantly black voting constituency purely based on his pretending to be black. Not on the issues. Just on ads that made people believe he was an African-American.

From KHOU Houston:

In one of the biggest political upsets in Houston politics this election season, Wilson — an anti-gay activist and former fringe candidate for mayor — emerged as the surprise winner over 24-year incumbent Bruce Austin. His razor thin margin of victory, only 26 votes, was almost certainly influenced by his racially tinged campaign.

So how did he do it? He printed mailers that simply had black actors on it. That’s it – anyone can do that. It’s not necessarily deceptive. Here’s a view from the video:

He did one other thing. He simply wrote on one of his mailers, “Endorsed by Ron Wilson.” That’s absolutely true – Ron Wilson, his cousin, endorsed him. Now, many people in Houston might have misinterpreted that as a statement of support from a former state representative who bears the same name, and also happens to be African-American.

He put a disclaimer in that same ad that this was his cousin.

With just these two slight misdirections, white guy Dave Wilson was able to win in a predominantly black constituency because they thought he was black. He’s getting some flack for this, and his defeated opponent says he’s asking for a recount, but isn’t it sad that he could win based on just the insinuation that he was the same skin color as his constituents?

Still funny, though.

Infographic: The Enrollment Bottleneck of HealthCare.Gov’s First Week

While we wait for the White House to provide real numbers on how many actually enrolled to Obamacare, some enterprising number crunchers are doing some of their own analysis, and it’s not good for Obamacare.

Market research firm Millward Brown Digital estimates that 99.6% of visitors to the website in the first week did not enroll in Obamacare, either because they couldn’t, or weren’t interested.

Below is our infographic of the relative numbers of visitors, those who attempted to register, how many were successful, how many began enrollment, and how many actually enrolled. PolicyMic.com remarked that if it’s anywhere near accurate, it “could be the White House’s worst nightmare.”

According to their analysis:

  • 5.4 times as many people began enrollment as actually completed it.
  • For every 15 people who completed registration, only 2 actually enrolled in Obamacare.
  • Only one of four who attempted to register, were actually able to register.
  • Only one person signed up to Obamacare out of every 157 people who visited the individual marketplace.
  • For every 263 unique visitors to the site, only one signed up for Obamacare. That’s about 99.6% that visited, but didn’t sign up, or weren’t able to.

Pretty dismal, especially for the signature legislation of this president. It’s no wonder his polling numbers are in freefall.

GOP Would Rather Give Up Virginia To Democrats Than Give The Tea Party and Social Conservatives A Win

When the facts are considered in the slim victory that terribly flawed Democrat Terry McAuliffe had against Ken Cuccinelli, it’s hard to deny the conclusion that the Republican party decided it was better to abandon Virginia to the Democrat party than to allow the Tea Party and social conservatives to win.

Here they are:

  • The Republican National Committee spent three times as much in 2009 on the same race as they did this year.
  • The Chamber of Commerce spent one million dollars in the last Governor’s race, and not one dime on Cuccinelli.
  • While it’s often claimed that Tea Party candidates do poorly among independents, Cuccinelli actually won independents by 9 points, 47 percent to 38 percent.
  • “McAuliffe outraised Cuccinelli by almost $15 million,” and in the last weeks of the campaign, this left Cuccinelli with nearly no media exposure.
  • Even Politico wonders if Cuccinelli was beginning to turn the tide against the “War on Women” narrative, as he drove down McAuliffe’s lead among women from 24% in polling to 9%.

In the last month, Cuccinelli’s claim that the election was a referendum on Obamacare started closing the gap for him – the continuing debacle of Obama’s signature legislation was taking its toll on his opponent. But ultimately, he couldn’t close the gap without help.

Help that disappeared in the last weeks of the campaign, and could have pushed him over the top.

Finally, a libertarian third party candidate served as a spoiler, stealing a fair percentage of votes away from Cuccinelli, and diluting the conservative message.

To be sure, there were some missteps in the Cuccinelli camp, but the final results show that this could have been a win for Republicans, and the loss was due in no small part to the reticence of the national Republican party to support a social conservative.

If the Republican establishment had thought it important enough to carry Virginia into the “R” column instead of using the loss as a cudgel to beat the grassroots Tea Party insurgent movement, perhaps it would have devoted more resources towards winning this crucial election.

Instead, we’ll continue to hear how “extremist” conservatives can’t win elections, while they praise the Obama-hugging moderates like Chris Christie.
