The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had published earlier that the monthly salaries given to the fighters of ISIS distributed as follows:
The Syrian fighter earns a monthly salary of $400. The Syrian married fighter gets an amount of $ 50 for each child, $100 for each wife, in addition to the basic monthly salary of $400, as well as providing a house if the fighter does not have a place to live, fuel for his car from gas stations which are managed by the organization of ISIS in addition to receiving fuel for heating.
A McDonald’s worker making $7.25 a month full-time would make $1,160, nearly three times as much as an ISIS fighter, who risks being killed by the Pershmerga (not so much the United States under Obama).
Social media is reeling from the horrific, apocalyptic news that mediocre defensive end but historic gay NFL player Michael Sam has been cut from the team by the obviously homophobic St. Louis Rams. Even though he wasn’t the best athlete, the politically correct gestapo demands that social justice interests trump any individual interest.
Witness the devastation:
The Rams cut Michael Sam. It's because the NFL is homophobic. The same way everybody who dislikes Obama is racist. Merica.
To be fair, it really seems like most of the comments made are sarcastic - very few are dumb enough to actually accuse the St. Louis Rams of homophobia, but I wouldn't put it past certain zealously politicized segments of this society.
Whatever you think of the validity of the racial violence surrounding the Ferguson shooting, I think we can all agree that this shirt comparing ISIS to the Ferguson PD is one of the stupidest things ever. Check it out:
For those of you who are English impaired, it reads, “I rather get stopped by ISIS terrorist than Ferguson PD.” You need to get stopped by the grammar police is what you need to do, first of all. But beyond that, you have to be pretty hell-bent on exaggerating the threat from police to act as if you’ll have better chances with bloodthirsty pig-dogs from hell who are beheading everyone within scimitar’s reach.
Oh that reminds me of Marc Lamont Hill who did exactly that, but with statistics.
Anyway, that’s a dumbass shirt, homie. Quit being dumb.
I never even stopped to consider just what makes Cap’n Crunch a real “cap’n”?!?! That’s the difference between real journalists like Jake Tapper and errant bloggers like myself. He asks where we merely assume:
Uh, buddy, if you’re going around calling yourself a “Cap’n” but you have no idea what Navy you’re associated with, I’m pretty sure that makes you a lawless pirate!!! I’m shocked and disappointed. Next we’re gonna find out that Hello Kitty isn’t a cat, or Count Chockula is just an emo wannabe vampire.
This is a really frightening story that should anger every American. The media is more than happy to keep telling blacks that the white man is oppressing them, fueling the kind of racial hatred that results in these attacks.
To the four clean-cut college freshman out on a double date, it had seemed like a typical McDonald’s: spanking clean, well-lighted, and safe. It was in a good neighborhood too, right next to Texas A&M University in College Station — a campus known for its friendly atmosphere and official down-home greeting: “howdy.”
Shortly after 2 A.M. that Sunday, they pulled into the parking lot of so-called “University McDonald’s” and beheld a scene unlike anything portrayed in all those wholesome McDonald’s television commercials. Before them, hundreds of young black males were loitering about, some without shirts.
Other local residents — the more cynical and world-weary, both whites and most blacks — would have taken one look at the crowd and driven off, dismissing many of the young and posturing black males as thugs. But not them: innocent white kids from the suburbs. They presumed this was post-racial America — and that they were in an easy-going college town.
The most alarming part of the story is how the media is frightened of reporting the racial aspect of the crime – if they only report when blacks have a grievance against whites, then the news is skewing towards only showing apparent white racism to minorities, which further embitters people against whites.
The horrifying story happened in February of 2012, and last week the family won their lawsuit against McDonald’s and was awarded $27 million.
[Ed. Note: I accidentally posted that two teens were beaten to death in the headline, but according to the American Thinker article, one died because of the beating he received, the other could have been because of the car accident.]
When the first day of looting sprung up in Ferguson, there were some very responsible voices in black media who were trying to quell the violence, like MSNBC’s Goldie Taylor. Then there was Marc Lamont Hill who was gleefully throwing gasoline into the fire. Here are some of his tweets from that night:
I'm glad we're angry. Nothing would be sadder than to become accustomed to Black death. Especially among our youth…
He has since been on many news outlets peddling that statistic which has now been rated FALSE by politifact. Here’s part of their report:
We didn’t hear back from Hill, but as he said on CNN, he isreferencing a 2013 report by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement called “Every 28 Hours,” which examined killings of African-Americans in 2012 by law enforcement, security guards and “vigilantes” who claimed self-defense.
The report is not an academic, unbiased representation of these deaths. It was put together by one volunteer researcher and details 313 deaths based on news clips and police reports. It arrives at one death “every 28 hours” by dividing the number of hours in a year, 8,760, by the number of deaths, 313.
But the report doesn’t say what Hill offered on CNN, that an “unarmed black person is killed” every 28 hours.
In fact, less than half of the people who were killed were unarmed, according toMXGM. PunditFact found 136 were labeled as unarmed after reviewing the compiled profiles.
The 28-hour calculation factored in all 313 deaths, which included people who were armed, “allegedly” armed and unarmed.
That’s an important distinction not reflected in Hill’s claim.
They go on to explain how “unarmed” can include someone being in a car trying to run over police, which seems justified, and also accidents, which shouldn’t be included in a statistic meant to alarm blacks to a fake “epidemic” of cop shootings.
The shocking imagery of American photojournalist James Foley being beheaded by an ISIS terrorist has stunned the world and focused our resolve, but Pentagon sources now say it was an avoidable murder, if only the Obama administration could have made the decision:
Pentagon sources said Foley and the others might well have been rescued but Obama, concerned about the ramifications of US troops being killed or captured in Syria, took too long to authorise the mission.
Anthony Shaffer, a former lieutenant-colonel in US military intelligence who worked on covert operations, said: “I’m told it was almost a 30-day delay from when they said they wanted to go to when he finally gave the green light. They were ready to go in June to grab the guy [Foley] and they weren’t permitted.”
Another US defence source said: “The White House constantly goes back and forth on these things. These people are a bunch of academics who endlessly analyse stuff and ordering up another deep-thinking paper but can’t decide what to order for lunch.”
There is no way in knowing if the mission would have been successful and Foley have been rescued unscathed, but the tone of the comments from the Pentagon seem to intimate a frustration and anger with Obama’s indecision. It doesn’t take a leap of logic to see the similarities to what many suspect about Benghazi – that Obama was so concerned with protecting his political image he left Americans to die.
Resistance in America to deporting illegal immigrants of the recent surge at the border often revolve around accusations of xenophobia and racism, but if that’s the case, then Mexico’s got a really bad case of both. As reported at Buzzfeed, our neighbor to the South has been absolutely voracious about deporting Central Americans, including unaccompanied minors, to their home countries:
Mexican officials have deported more than 13,000 of the 14,000 undocumented, unaccompanied minors who have been caught at Mexico’s southern border, a rate significantly higher than in the United States, according to government sources familiar with the situation.
Additionally, Mexican authorities have deported more than 64,000 of the estimated 69,000 adults that have been detained along their southern border this year.
Those numbers stand in stark contrast to the deportation of minor immigrants from the United States: None of the more than 60,000 Central American minors detained this year have been deported.
According to a Department of Homeland Security spokesman, those minors — who are estimated to total as many as 90,000 by year’s end — must first make their way through the legal system, which has seen significant backlogs, because they qualify to apply for asylum status.
That means they have deported 93% of unaccompanied minors, and of adults apprehended illegally crossing into Mexico.
But that also means that if 14,000 unaccompanied minors were caught in Mexico, and we expect as many as 90,000, then at the very least, Mexican officials are catching far less than 14% of unaccompanied minors illegally crossing into their country from Central America.
But at least they’re deporting them back. Somehow I doubt this statistic will enter into the minds of those accusing border control advocates of racism and xenophobia.
“Citizen Journalist” Allison Kilkenny took time off from another universe where Obama is declaring national emergencies when cops shoot white people in order to visit our very different reality and tell us about this strange and weird world.
What the heck is she bleating about? In fact, police shoot white people all the time, all across our country, and some if it isn’t even justified, but somehow Kilkenny’s insanity doesn’t let her see anything beyond her race narrative.
Terrorism expert Brigitte Gabrielle seemed to confirm what many suspected and feared on Judge Jeanine’s show on Saturday night. She said that Homeland Security are monitoring suspected members of ISIS already in America, and they’re afraid that others might be coming in through our porous border.
This new information might illuminate the picture an ISIS supporter posted of their terrorist flag before the White House.
How many more reasons do we need to close the border?
You can always count on Michael Dyson to say something ridiculously stupid on any of his appearances on MSNBC, and he didn’t let anyone down when he appeared on Melissa “Tampon-Earring” Harris Perry’s show Saturday morning.
Somehow Obama coming to Ferguson would be like God manifesting Himself to humanity as Jesus Christ? Great analogy there, pendejo.
One special little girl made an Iraqi War vet tear up with her touching act of selflessness when she heard he needed help to train his dog to become an assistance animal. Nick Bailey served two tours in Iraq and suffers from spinal injuries and PTSD as a result from a rocket bomb attack.
“For me, it’s just amazing that an 8-year-old girl would show any interest in me or my dog,” Bailey said.
Because of post traumatic stress from his military service, Bailey finds it hard to go out in public alone, and also suffers with mobility issues.
After he, and wife Vanessa noticed a strong connection between Nicholas and their pet German Shepherd, rather than take a government-issued service dog, the couple decided to train their dog Abel.
“In the middle of the night when Nick is having a nightmare, he wakes Nick up by licking his hand,” Vanessa said.
“It’s like he could feel the pain coming from Nick.”
The Bailey’s were confident Abel was the right dog for the job, until an accident on a shopping trip set them back even more.
The couple says a box fell from a shelf, hitting Abel. Though visibly shaken, the two were confident he would bounce back.
“We didn’t notice a lot of the things a professional trainer notices, where he was actually hesitant, when he was going into stores.”
Now, Nicholas and Vanessa are working to enroll him in a Myrtle Beach training school, Canine Angels, a program designed to help dogs like Abel overcome fear, also fine-tuning other skills needed to act as a complete service dog.
The cost of that training is nearly $6000.
That’s when Rachel Mennett found out about the Bailey’s inability to get assistance from veteran’s groups, and the eight-year-old did something about it. Her lemonade stand and her brother’s bake sale are now raising money to help Nick Bailey and his dog.
What a wonderful bunch of kids.
If you’d like to help Nick Bailey, they have a GoFundMe donation site to assist their training of their dog Abel. [And keep an eye out for a Molon Labe insignia during the video news report!]
