NINE DEAD in Biker Gang Brawl and Shootout in Waco, Texas

Apparently there has been a shootout between two or more biker gangs at a restaurant in Waco, Texas. I just heard on CNN that the police expect more violence and the scene is “far from secure” hours after the altercation.

Watch below:

More from a local news service:

Police are on the scene of a shooting in the parking lot between the Twin Peaks and the Don Carlos restaurants in the Central Texas Marketplace in Waco.

Police on scene confirm the shooting involved at least two biker gangs. There were multiple injuries report, but no word yet on the exact number or condition of those wounded.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have been called to assist. Medical personnel from as far away as Limestone County are being called to the scene.

One witness reported hearing more than 20 gunshots. Witnesses report emergency responders treating several victims in the parking lot, some critically hurt.

No one inside either restaurant is believed to be injured.

Here are some accounts from social media:

And more from KWTX:

One law enforcement spokesman said there were several armed officers and EMS units on the scene and Washington Avenue and University Parks Drive in that area had been closed.

Officers also were en route to the Flying J Truck Stop, at New Road and Interstate 35 because a large number of bikers had been seen gathering there.

A witness who was having lunch across the parking lot at Don Carlos Mexican Resaturant said he and his family had just finished eating and walked into the parking lot when they heard several gunshots and saw wounded being taken from the fight scene.

“We crouched down in front of our pick-up truck because that was the only cover we had,” the man, who asked not to be identified, said.

He and his family were travelling to Selina, Kansas and decided to stop for lunch.

He said he saw several wounded men being treated.

He also said there were several police officers at the scene and ambulances were responding to the scene to aid those hit.

“We have multiple victims,” Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Local news services are reporting that there are many fatalities, as many as nine:

A local NBC affiliate only reports that there have been many fatalities, but not a number.
