This College Poster on Sexual Assault DESTROYS the Feminist LIE of Equality

This image is floating around on social media of a college poster that warns men about their responsibility when it comes to sexual consent. It says a lot about what feminists really mean by “equality.”

The text reads as follows:

Jake was DRUNK. Josie was DRUNK.

Jake and Josie hooked up. Josie could not consent.

The next day JAKE was charged with RAPE.

A woman who is intoxicated cannot give her legal consent for sex, so proceeding under these circumstances is a crime.

It only takes a single day to ruin your life.

Think About it! Be responsible.

Anyone see an obvious glaring error in the thinking behind the poster’s message? How about this – aren’t we supposed to be equal? If women are just as responsible for their actions as men are, then why would the guy be more responsible when they both get drunk? This is essentially sexist against the male, since the presumption is that they got drunk together.

And that’s the problem with these kinds of campaigns. This doesn’t solve the problem of sexual assault at all because it still comes down to one person’s word against the other. And if you’re always going to take the word of the woman against the man, then you’re saying that women are just less responsible for their actions than men are.

But we’re all equal, right?
