The Trump campaign is just on a one-way train to abject absurdity, and unfortunately it’s dragging the entire country with it. The latest came from Scottie Nell Hughes who defended Trump’s stupid statement on abortion yesterday by actually blaming the prolife movement.
It’s really unbelievable:
I don’t even know where to begin with this stupidity. Do we laugh or mock or scorn? Can we do all at once?
It is clear to anyone that saw Trump flail around like a toupee’d trout out of water when asked about the specifics on his supposed “prolife position” yesterday that he has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. But Scottie has to defend the wannabe emperor, so she throws the entire prolife movement under the bus.
It is the most intellectually dishonest thing to say that prolifers are as muddled about this issue as Trump. Especially when nearly every prolife leader came out to deny Trump’s position. But that’s the kind of idiocy you have to indulge in when you defend a doofus like Donald Trump, and Scottie Hughes is just the shameless hack to do it.
Don’t miss the smug idiocy on her face when she finishes blaming prolifers, I would say it’s priceless, but it’s clear she can bought off easily.
After backing Cory Lewandowski saying that he never ever saw much less met Michelle Fields for weeks, Trump is now saying it was good that he grabbed her because she could have had a BOMB IN HER HAND!!!
It was a pen.
Yeah no, Trumpy. The only bombs that Breitbart “journalists” wield are the lies they publish at the website.
But if Trump is scared of a girl with a pen, how is he gonna destroy ISIS?!
The Donald ran through his idiot argument that Corey Lewandowski didn’t do anything to Michelle Fields in front of his audience of idiots in Wisconsin during a rally.
He completely lied about what Michelle Fields said happened, in order to make it sound like she positively claimed she was pushed to the ground.
Here he is saying it once:
She said that he TRIED to throw her to the floor. But his moron audience won’t be allowed to know that. Trump is just stealing this dumb narrative from his followers online who have been pitching the same idiotic excuse all day. We obliterated that stupidity here.
Here he is lying again as he supposedly reads her statement about the incident:
He’s reading her statement, and he PURPOSELY skips over that she says “Campaign managers aren’t supposed to try to forcefully throw reporters to the ground, no matter the circumstance.”
I mean it’s brazen, obvious, incontrovertible lying. But his followers will say the opposite.
Here’s a longer video of his talking to the Wisconsin crowd:
At one point a woman screeches, “it’s all bullshit!” because they’re a classy bunch.
But the way that Sarah beats around the bush in a clear attempt to ignore how scummy the Trump campaign is acting right now just shows how willing she is to swim in the sewer for this idol. That’s what happens when you trade your character for money and influence. Sad!!
Not only is the sewer of the worst Trump supporters spewing out onto social media in order to defend their emperor Trump from his campaign manager being arrested today, but they’re completely lying about Michelle Fields to do it:
Lewandowski shouldn’t have these charges. She said “He threw me down” no https://t.co/3BviS5in0s he was moving her, which was his job!
Trump acknowledged the question, but before he could answer I was jolted backwards. Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken.
The Washington Post’s Ben Terris immediately remarked that it was Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who aggressively tried to pull me to the ground. I quickly turned around and saw Lewandowski and Trump exiting the building together. No apology. No explanation for why he did this.
They lie and make it sound like she’s saying she was thrown to the ground. She specifically says she WASN’T thrown to the ground, and that she regained her balance. I have literally had Trump supporters tweet me this exact statement, while lying about it. It’s really incredible.
But this is much too subtle for the Trump-hand-sized brains of his moron supporters.
They’re gleeful and eager to run out and smear a woman who was assaulted for the sake of their cheeto-faced idol.
This was the reporters statement- when she found out there was tape from my facility, she changed her tune. pic.twitter.com/N5815RS1At
Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski turned himself in to police and has been charged for the assault on former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields. The police have released another video clearly showing what the Trump camp has been denying constantly!
Breaking: CCTV video shows Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski pulling a reporter, which he denied https://t.co/Z1tFdVPnlh
Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump campaign manager, was charged this morning with misdemeanor battery after allegations of forcefully grabbing a reporter at a Jupiter news conference, town police confirmed this morning.
Following a March 8 conference at Trump National Golf Club, Michelle Fields, a 28-year-old reporter formerly with the online Breitbart News Network, said she was grabbed on the arm by Lewandowski, 41, after she asked Trump a question about affirmative action.
Washington Post reporter Ben Terris wrote that he witnessed the battery.
Jupiter police later said they were looking into the incident after Fields filed a report, although investigators had not named Lewandowski.
Lewandowski turned himself in to Jupiter police just after 8 a.m., accoriding to a police report.
Surveillance footage captured at Trump National, off Donald Ross Road, corroborates Feilds’ claim, the arrest report says.
Fields, who Tweeted photos of bruises on her arm she said resulted from the battery, resigned Breitbart less than a week after the incident. She cited Breitbart’s refusal to stand behind her amid the allegations as her reason for leaving.
Lewandowski replied to Fields’ Tweet, writing: “You are totally delusional. I never touched you. As a matter of fact, I have never even met you.”
Ben Shapiro, former Breitbart editor-at-large, also resigned, claiming in a prepared statement that the conservative news outlet, seen largely as supportive of Trump’s presidential bid, “abandoned” Fields “in order to protect Trump’s bully campaign manager.”
Looks like y’all got caught red-handed!!
As of 12:36 Eastern Time, “Corey Lewandowski” is top trending in America:
And finally, here’s the icing on the cake of this story. Apparently Corey Lewandoski has retained the services of a lawyer that was fired from his government job after biting a stripper:
You guys, Corey Lewandowski's lawyer bit a stripper.
For Donald Trump there is some very basic, very real math between him and the White House. Women generally make up more than half of the U.S. presidential electorate and polls show they don’t really seem to like the Republican frontrunner.
Negative views of Mr. Trump are hardly news. Overall 64% of Americans had a negative view of the GOP frontrunner in the most recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, while only 25% had a positive view.
But among women, those numbers go to 70% negative and 21% positive, as Carrie Dann noted last week.
Do you think that this might have to do with the absurdly stupid attacks that the Donald has hurled at women, including the last one where he retweeted an insulting picture of Heidi Cruz? Yeah, kinda.
…dig a little deeper into the numbers and you get a sense of how big Mr. Trump’s problem is.
For instance, the gender gap (the edge Democratic candidates tend to hold with female voters) is a well-known fact of modern politics. But it’s not uniform. White women often tend to lean Republican.
In 2012 Mitt Romney won white women by 14 points according to exit polls – 56% to 42% for President Barack Obama. But in the latest NBC/WSJ poll white women go to Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical general election matchup with Mr. Trump by 10 points, 48% to 38%.
If those numbers held they would equal an enormous 24-point swing in the white women vote between 2012 and 2016. That is a massive mountain to climb for the Trump campaign.
As Chuck Todd says, the Donald is facing a gender “canyon” or maybe even a gender “grande canyon.”
And yet, the common Trumper absolutely dismisses every poll that shows Hillary destroying Trump. Because denying reality is always a good political strategy, right?
He’s wallowing in the sewer and enjoying it. Not once did Amanda tell anyone to report him, or suggest he should be banned from Twitter, she just wanted a screenshot in case he had a shred of decency in him and deleted it. But of course he doesn’t.
I want you to be accountable for harassing me. That's what I want. This is harassment by a presidential campaign. https://t.co/jC0mF0010p
But this idiot can’t sue just because his childish feelings were hurt – Ted Cruz simply out-organized him and got the delegates fair and square according to the rules that were laid out before the vote.
Trump won’t sue, and if he does it’ll be thrown out of the courts. And he knows this. It’s just to get more media attention because that’s what he thrives on.
But the most important aspect of this little episode is that Ted Cruz simply organizes better and runs a better campaign. And that’s why he was able to get more delegates out of Louisiana. He didn’t cheat, he just prepared better and used the rules to his advantage. Isn’t it that character trait what “brilliant businessman” Trump is supposed to be hanging his his hat on?
Obviously, like everything else he says, that’s all a scam. And this threat of a lawsuit proves it.
Ted Cruz may be gaining on Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in the largest remaining state in the Republican primary.
A new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll of likely Republican voters published on Sunday showed the Texas senator, with 35% support, just 1 point behind Trump’s 36% in California.
California is the largest and most delegate-heavy state remaining in the Republican nominating contest. In the poll, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the third GOP candidate, logged a distant third with 14% support.
Other recent polls have mostly shown Trump with a large lead over Cruz and Kasich, and with the primary still over two months away, the polls could easily shift before election day.
Still, even if Trump wins the primary outright, Cruz’s strength in California could still pose a problem for the real-estate magnate.
The Times/USC poll is one of the first released since Sen. Marco Rubio dropped out of the race, and could hint that Cruz has a shot at taking a large chunk of the delegates home in California. Thirteen delegates are awarded to the statewide winner, while the remaining ones are awarded by whichever candidate wins each district.
Dang. Start praying, party people.
And call your Latino friends and family in California and tell them to get on the Cruz Crew!!
Trump’s advisor Stephen Miller is one of the scummier thugs that he’s been able to get on his team, and he badgered and berated panelists on “State of the Union” this morning in order to keep from answering questions about Trump’s idiotic retweet.
The fake rightous indignation that Miller is able to conjure up should win an Oscar for effort, but not for execution, because anyone can see right through it unless you’re utterly and completely gullible. And what’s with that cow-like glassy-eyed glare he has?! Is that a side effect of slurping down Trump brand Kool-Aid?!
Clearly this is a sign that they know the coverage on the retweet mocking Cruz’s wife is hurting them because they’ve been constantly trying to pivot away from it since Saturday. Here’s more evidence.
Remember – Trump mocks women because he’s worried about female genital mutilation. Good job, Miller.
As always, the lowest scum of the social media world happen to coincide quite a bit with the pro-Trump crowd. So when the absurd smear by the National Enquirer came out, the sewer-gates opened and the maggots flooded out.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Even though she has categorically denied the allegations, and there is zero evidence apart from just rumors, that doesn’t stop the degenerate pigs from swarming like fleas to infest Amanda’s timeline. And many of these are Trump supporters, but don’t let that mar your opinion of him – NOBODY has more respect than he does for women! He says so himself, look:
The media is so after me on women Wow, this is a tough business. Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!
Today Christians celebrate all over the world for two millennia that God’s promise and His compact with man was fulfilled in the man, Christ Jesus, who died and rose from the dead.
Today we commemorate when death was defeated and man was redeemed and our sins finally washed away by the blood of that divine sacrifice.
The holy scriptures describe that blessed moment:
Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus *said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and take word to My brethren to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
Now while they were on their way, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened. And when they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, and said, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him away while we were asleep.’ And if this should come to the governor’s ears, we will win him over and keep you out of trouble.” And they took the money and did as they had been instructed; and this story was widely spread among the Jews, and is to this day.
But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28
And one of the more exquisitely beautiful works of music to celebrate the resurrection, the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s Messiah:
May God continue to bless America, and this fallen world, and each of us.
