Dan Bongino Goes FULL TRUMP In Profanity-Laced Recorded Phone Call
IN a very long but incredibly entertaining call, Dan Bongino absolutely loses it and rips into Politico reporter Marc Caputo over an article he says is being unfair to him.
The audio is chock full of threats and profanity, so make sure to increase the volume level so your children can listen clearly:
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything like that in politics. To be fair to Dan, Marc definitely goes into trolling and insult mode, but the profanity is shocking coming from someone running for elected office. No matter how unfair a reporter is being, you lose it like this and I don’t think the voters are going to respond positively.
Also, it appears that Dan doesn’t realize that Marc had told him the call was going to be recorded because he did so on Twitter and not at the beginning of the call.
I can’t help but notice that he uses a LOT of Trump “tactics” in the phone call. He goes immediately on the attack against the reporter and the media. He starts in on the personal insults, including the “my audience is bigger than yours” Donaldian taunt. He repeats “loser” over and over as if it’s a magical mantra to ward off biased media. And then he compares his bigly manly testosterone levels to belittle Caputo. This is about as Trumpy as you can get.
And was all of this necessary? He could have simply said, “I believe the newspaper is running a series of propaganda against me, and this was just the latest attack” and left it at that. In a podcast he released later, he says he’s never had a problem with Caputo before, and yet doesn’t offer anything like an apology about what he said.
I do like Dan Bongino, but this seems like a mistake on his part. What do y’all think? Let us know in the comments.
