I had a really great discussion with Brian Nichols, the associate editor of the Libertarian Republic. We discuss how Libertarians and Conservatives can be friends in the age of Trump. I really enjoyed it and hope you do as well!!
Brian posted it on YouTube, which is great:
For those who follow the SooperPodcast on ITunes or elsewhere, I’ll try to upload it for your podcast listening pleasure soon.
Thanks to Brian for hosting such a delightful and honest discussion without rancor, and without outrage. It was quite a departure from the usual politics!! Check out his website here.
This week we’re all disgusted with the kerry-catcher that we’ve become, and we’re sick of it!! We talk about the great thuggery of the awesome Greg Gianforte, and the incredible conspiracy theory mongering of Sean Hannity!! It’s the best, oh and Hapax gets a brand new nickname, and we talk about melanin-challenged people calling out people of color!!! It’s so exciting.
Once again, conspiracy theory morons promised a “smoking gun,” produced nothing, and then proclaimed victory and victimhood. This is the cycle of conspiracy theorist scumbags, and their regional potentate is none other than Sean Hannity, who promised HUGE news today, and instead, CAVED on his idiotic conspiracy theory.
So my question is this – if they keep finding more and more “smoking gun” evidence, why did he back down?
Because they don’t. And they’re lying scumbags.
Earlier in the day Sean Scammity actually shouted on his moronic radio show for losers that he would not back down because the conspiracy theory was too big.
LOL! He’s such a conscientious honorable guy – as long as his bovine viewers keep putting money in his bank account that is.
Then he had the audacity to pretend he was going to stop pursuing the conspiracy theory because of the family’s wishes:
But that’s a complete lie and it doesn’t take much to prove it.
Just ask yourself this – if he could actually prove that Hillary killed Seth Rich, no one would care that the family was asking him to stop looking into the conspiracy theory. If he could ACTUALLY prove anything, then Hillary would be sent to prison, the family would fall to his feet in thankfulness, and he would be praised as the greatest investigator in history.
But he stopped. Why?
There is NO WAY he stopped talking about the case because of the family’s wishes – he had ALREADY said earlier Tuesday that he was FULFILLING their wishes by talking about it. He’s already shown he’s scummy enough to push the story and ignore the family’s wishes. So why did he really do it?
Because he has no evidence of his idiotic conspiracy theory, and perhaps someone at Fox News cursed and yelled at him enough to get through to the last dimmed wit that might still precariously exist in his mind.
If you want some evidence of that theory, go watch that video at about the seven minute mark and see how he tears up, literally chokes up, and messes up his words, when talking about the loss of his advertisers. In the entire video, this is the ONE time he actually, literally tears up! LOL!!!
Here’s a screenshot:
As much as I’m sick of Sean Hannity scumming it up on Fox News, I also feel incredibly vindicated because I saw through his idiotic charade years ago. It’s sad that he has fallen so far that he would sell away what little credibility he had for the sake of proving his unrequited love for Donald Trump, and to stuff his wallet with even more money….
Fox News retracted a story they posted about the supposed conspiracy theory surrounding DNC staffer Seth Rich after his brother posted a letter pleading with Sean Hannity to stop spreading the hurtful story.
On May 16, a story was posted on the Fox News website on the investigation into the 2016 murder of DNC Staffer Seth Rich. The article was not initially subjected to the high degree of editorial scrutiny we require for all our reporting. Upon appropriate review, the article was found not to meet those standards and has since been removed.
We will continue to investigate this story and will provide updates as warranted.
Here’s the letter Seth Rich’s brother posted to the producer of Hannity’s show:
After the Wheeler story broke down, Hannity pinned all his hopes on this guy, @KimDotCom, who promised a bombshell today:
It dropped this morning and was less than promised, but that won’t stop the shysters from pushing it anyway, even after the family has called him out for being a scam artist. The shysters developed a new strategy – they’re posting a video from the family from a month ago pretending that it is thanking the conspiracy theorists. Pretty shameless huh?
Aaron Rich is appealing to Hannity’s “decency” and begging him to stop hurting the family.
“The family would like to thank Fox News for their retraction on a story that has caused deep pain and anguish to the family and has done harm to Seth Rich’s legacy,” he said. “We are hopeful that in the future Fox News will work with the family to ensure the highest degree of professionalism and scrutiny is followed so that only accurate facts are reported serving this case.”
But don’t believe it – the conspiracy theorists say he’s making statements against the family’s will, and Hillary has them under gunpoint or something.
And Hannity is still defiantly pushing his BS on his radio show:
Hannity on radio just now: "For those accusing me of pushing a conspiracy theory, you are the biggest phony hypocrites in the entire world."
Scumbag conspiracy theorists are spreading this video because they want to believe their cult god Trump is innocent and they’re too stupid to follow slightly more difficult reasoning about the Russian-Trump collusion investigation.
Hoaxers now claim that an April 24 video of Rich’s parents thanking GoFundMe donors is a video of them thanking Reddit. Disgusting. pic.twitter.com/zjmtM3nBC6
This despicable vermin is spreading it in order to encourage each other to chase the conspiracy theories despite the family demanding they stop. And idiots like Sean Hannity pushes this crap. This is why you have to be careful what you share – don’t just spread stuff because it fits your worldview. Put truth before partisanship or tribalism.
This WEEK!! We discuss the ongoing slow collapse of the Trump administration, why Hannity is a conspiracy-mongering idiot, why people sharing Comey’s testimony are misleading everyone and lying liars, and how digital movies killed private movie theaters. Also Hapax Legomenon hates on babies at the movies. WOW! You have to listen, it’s probably not the worst podcast you’ll listen to this week!!!
We had a serious and somber moment in the post-podcast that needed to be said. Check that out below, or click here:
So people who want to make former FBI director Comey look bad are sending this quote around – it’s testimony where they say he testifies under oath that the president never asked him to stop any investigation:
HIRONO: So if the Attorney General or senior officials at the Department of Justice opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?
COMEY: In theory yes.
HIRONO: Has it happened?
COMEY: Not in my experience. Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that — without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don’t see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience.
NOTICE the question is about officials at the Department of Justice. Not the president.
So he didn’t perjure himself. But liars gotta liar. Or lie. Whatever.
Of course, that won’t stop alt-right dimwits like Nehlen:
Sean Hannity is a stupid scumbag, and if you have an ounce of sense in your head, you’ll agree after reading how he’s now spreading absurd conspiracy theories, and ignoring the demands of the family of a dead man, just for the sake of absolving Trump and the Russians.
Here’s Sean Hannity pushing the ridiculous conspiracy theory that DNC staffer Seth Rich was murdered because he was leaking info to WikiLeaks. Take notice that he specifically says private investigator Rod Wheeler was “hired” by the family of Seth Rich.
What the scumbag doesn’t say, in order to mislead his idiot viewers, is that the family specifically denied that they had hired Wheeler – he was hired by a third party, not the family:
We are a family who is committed to facts, not fake evidence that surfaces every few months to fill the void and distract law enforcement and the general public from finding Seth’s murderers. The services of the private investigator who spoke to press was offered to the Rich family and paid for by a third party, and contractually was barred from speaking to press or anyone outside of law enforcement or the family unless explicitly authorized by the family.
So Wheeler agreed that he would not speak for the family about the case, but that’s how it’s being put out by idiots like Sean Hannity. And all of this was widely available before he aired his idiotic show for idiots.
“It’s sad but unsurprising that a group of media outlets who have repeatedly lied to the American people would try and manipulate the legacy of a murder victim in order to forward their own political agenda,” Bauman told Business Insider. “I think there is a special place in hell for people like that.”
Yes there is, and there’s a special slot on Fox News channel for scumbags like that.
What is the point of this? It’s in the clip – he humiliates himself in order to exonerate the Russians. Because nothing will make his unrequited love for Trump blossom into true romance like helping the Russians get away with meddling in our election. What a great American!
NOW the family is demanding a retraction from Fox News under the threat of legal action:
“The family is officially asking for a retraction and an apology from Fox News and from the Fox 5 DC affiliate for inaccurate reporting and damaging the legacy of their son,” spokesman Brad Bauman said.
This week, both Fox News and WTTG-TV published and aired reports, sourced to private investigator Rod Wheeler, that said evidence showed Rich had been in contact with Wikileaks before his death. Wheeler later told CNN he had no such evidence and that he had, in fact, only heard of some information attributed to him from a Fox News reporter with whom he spoke.
Will the dumbass comply?
Bauman said that if Fox News and WTTG-TV do not take action, the family will.
“They need to retract the story or issue an apology or the family will consider other options, including legal, to clear their son’s name and get Fox to do what’s right,” he told CNN.
And this isn’t the first time Hannity has mislead his viewers when contrary information was readily available.
Oh boy. Detective Hannity is on the case of the NRO cruise’s evil scheme of providing an service/product for money. It must have taken weeks of very focused attention by his one last operating brain cell to piece that one together. maybe he’s showcasing his genius investigatory skills as am audition to become Trump’s next FBI Director.
The real reason for witless Hannity to spout of these idiocies is that he pitches an insane fantasy that people who disagree with him are in a grand conspiracy and are all paid off to do it. He can’t possibly conceive that people might actually really believe in conservatism and the principles he’s ostensibly espoused for decades. His barely functioning brain cell must believe that anyone who dares to stand up to his orange-visaged man-crush is doing it for money.
Thus, the private jets.
Maybe, deep down in that last flickering vestige of a brain cell, he accuses others of the same sin he’s most ashamed of – selling out conservatism for money and fame.
El Sooper calls from an old folks’ home, Matt has unnatural relations with his mimicrophone, and Hapax Legomenon Lego-hater gets a new name!! WOW!! El Sooper actually defends Maxine Waters, WHAT?!?! Also he defends Donald Trump. Doble-WHAT?! Double-QUE?! It’s insane!! Also we talk about Comey’s firing!! Oh, this is an early edition of the SooperPodcast and then I ran off to see Guardians of the Galaxy which was awesommme!! Wow you have to listen to now!! NO! No-no-no-no-NO!! Also, Matt is the worst.
We had a serious and somber moment in the post-podcast that needed to be said. Check that out below, or click here:
Politics is pretty divisive and kinda crappy right now. So here’s something that really made me laugh this week. It’s a little ghetto, though, so… if you have tender sensibilities, beware.
Black Twitter can be a curse, mostly on political topics, but when it gets to making jokes, wow. It’s hilarious. Witness one of their best Twitter masterpieces so far – the hashtag “Bow Wow Challenge.”
So the joke here is that Bow Wow, a rapper, was caught lying by social media sleuths about taking a private jet. He was actually on a commercial flight the same time he was supposedly glamorously jet-setting.
THIS WEEK!! El Sooper drinks a little too much before the podcast and Matt drinks too little and el sooper GOES NUTS about Andrew Jackson and I really wish I had edited that out but we didn’t. Also el SOoper tells the story of the funniest Nazi swastika headline everrrr. And we air the amazing Mulvaney phone conference!! Wow!! I think Jess and Matt are there too, but you can ignore them, that’s what I do. OH also we dismantle Jimmy Kimmel’s tearful Obamacare story. And we rip up socialist healthcare. OMG you have to listen right NOW!!
This is a preview, but it’s from seven weeks ago so its not really a preview.
While testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, FBI Director James Comey revealed that Huma Abedin, a top aide to Hillary Clinton, forwarded thousands of emails, including classified information, to her husband, Anthony Weiner.
“Somehow, her emails were being forwarded to Anthony Weiner, including classified information,” Comey said, adding later, “His then-spouse, Huma Abedin, appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to him for him to print out for her, so she could deliver them to the secretary of state.”
Those emails were found on Weiner’s laptop last year while he was being investigated by the FBI for allegedly sending explicit messages to an underage girl.
So that’s sounds like a problem, huh?
Comey says Huma Abedin had a regular practice of forwarding Hillary Clinton’s emails to Anthony Weiner; some contained classified info. pic.twitter.com/e9mZIokthh
