Father of Florida shooting victim: ‘The press is focused on the wrong stories’
Ryan Petty is the father of 14-year-old Alaina Petty, who was killed in the horrible school attack in Florida. He went on his Twitter account today to say something about what a hero really is, while the term is being tossed around indiscriminately these days.
With the term hero being thrown around indiscriminately, I thought I'd share a few observations on true heroism demonstrated before, during and in the aftermath of the Parkland shooting. #NeverAgain #Parkland #MSDStrong

So many amazing stories from that day. The press is focused on the wrong ones…

If I can humbly add one more – a hero is someone who can speak out for the truth, even when he’s personally going through unfathomable and profound grief.
May God bless and comfort Ryan and his family through this tough time.
