It’s still six months out until the midterm elections, but a new poll from USA Today should have Democrats quaking in their boots, as support for Republicans is even greater now than in 2010 when the GOP regained control of the House of Representatives.
The polling was nearly equally split in 2010 but now has Republicans at a four point advantage, which could mean greater gains for the GOP. Other results from the poll show that Americans care most about jobs, healthcare and the federal budget, and 66% saying the economy is recovering, but not very strongly, while Republicans have a 4% edge when Americans are asked which party’s policies would improve the economy.
Great news for conservatives, as long as we can keep our candidates from saying stupid things about rape or abortion. Let’s work on that, shall we?
