Hillary Takes Benghazi SO Seriously, She Hired The ‘Dude, That Was Like Two Years Ago’ Bro to Pitch Her Book!

If ever you find yourself running for president with a scandal that cost American lives due to your incompetence, the best way to deal with that is to write a book rehashing your failure, and hire a guy who contemptibly forgets the details of that night on national television.

That would be Tommy Vietor, the baby-faced former NSA spokesman who dismissively snorted, “Dude, this was like, two years ago,” as Bret Baier questioned him about the source of the changes to the controversial talking points.

The news item was included in a report on Hillary’s release of the chapter from her book, “Hard Choices,” on Benghazi to Politico’s Maggie Haberman:

And in a sign of the concerted effort to rebut the ongoing controversy in a cohesive way, Clinton’s camp has brought on former National Security Council spokesman and longtime President Barack Obama hand Tommy Vietor to assist in the response to the book, a source familiar with the plan said.

We look forward to hearing from “Hard Choices” Hillary on how difficult it was to choose to protect her and Obama’s political careers instead of doing everything they could to save Americans under attack from terrorists.

Here’s a vine of that now infamous interaction:
