In a wildly irresponsible move, Eric Holder is ordering a second autopsy be done on Michael Brown, the victim of the police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.
“Due to the extraordinary circumstances involved in this case and at the request of the Brown family, Attorney General Holder has instructed Justice Department officials to arrange for an additional autopsy to be performed by a federal medical examiner,” Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon said in statement. “This independent examination will take place as soon as possible. Even after it is complete, Justice Department officials still plan to take the state-performed autopsy into account in the course of their investigation.”
How is this any less inflammatory than the Ferguson Police Department releasing the Michael Brown robbery tape? This move by the DOJ will signal to the rioters and protesters that they cannot trust the police investigation, and spur on more violence. Again the Obama administration is exploiting and exacerbating racial division for a political end.
But the media won’t focus on that aspect, I bet.
