There’s a new talking point about God and abortion and boy is it really stupid
OK so this morning I was subjecting myself to the stupidity on MSNBC, I’m not sure why, I was probably doing penance for my many sins.
ANYWAY.
I caught one of the dumbest talking points I have ever heard, and not surprisingly, it came out of the mouth of one the dumbest men to grace a television broadcast, supposed Reverend Al Sharpton.
Buckle up, it’s a doozy.

I mean, do I even need to address this abjectly stupid attempt to justify abortion?
Look, under that rationale, you could excuse ANY sin, ANY murder, ANY evil act, because the same argument applies for anything and everything. If committing any evil act is allowable merely on the premise that God gave us free will, then all things are permissable.
That’s fall-on-your-stupid-face absurd.
So of course, Georgia’s once and future non-governor Stacey Abrams makes the same argument.

Basically, we have free will, so we should be allowed to commit any sinful act. Big if true!!! Or pathetic, however you may want to characterize it.
I get the sense that Democrats realize that religion is one of the strongest sources of opposition against abortion and they need to come up with something, anything, to fight the truth of the Gospel in order to pervert it and persuade people that they can be Christian and still support abortion.
And that’s why they have to say such stupid things. They’re trying to do an impossible thing.
Abortion theology is not very robust.
