Ah this is fantastic. They have just announced that Republicans will retain control of the House of Representatives, and they have won the U.S. Senate.
So now we have to ask Democratic morons like Sen. Elizabeth Warren if they still believe the filibuster has to go because it’s raaaaacist?
“The filibuster has deep roots in racism, and it should not be permitted to serve that function, or to create a veto for the minority. In a democracy, it’s majority rules.” Axios, 2021.
Wow, does she still believe that, now that it is the Republicans in the Senate majority? LOL!
Somehow I doubt it. She’ll LIE her way out of it and say it’s even MORE racist to get rid of the filibuster because of unicorn farts and RFK’s brain worms.
Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), who famously said Guam would capsize, also called it racist!
“It’s important that we not continue to allow the filibuster to be a tool used to suppress the right to vote, that black people have fought and died for,” Johnson said.
This is how Warren justified it at the time:
The filibuster is a later creation that was designed to give the South the ability to veto any effective civil rights legislation or anti lynching legislation.”
Funny, she doesn’t seem to give a damn what else the founders said in the Constitution, just this one thing.
Today, commie weird Rep. Pramilla Jayapal already admitted she’s now against ending the filibuster because it would help Republicans:
Jayapal says she doesn’t support nixing the Senate filibuster now that the GOP is poised to control Congress and the WH.
But if Dems had had the trifecta before the election, she’d have supported nixing the filibuster “because we have to show that the government can deliver.”

Anyway, I am not really for ending the filibuster. I think in the end it would just hurt Republicans if ever Dems regain control. BUT, it’s important to note just how unprincipled and pathetically dishonest some politicians are, in this case, the Democrats.
