Ferguson’s Tuesday Night: Quiet Before a Storm of Arrests And Violence
Protests in Ferguson over the Mike Brown shooting were calm until right after midnight, when reporters outnumbered protesters, and a bottle thrown at police sparked arrests and violence. Here are some tweets and other media from people in attendance:

State Trooper Captain Johnson had another very early morning press conference where he said there were 47 arrests, including one due to a threat made to kill police. He also claimed one individual arrested was from Austin, Texas, and had been arrested three times there already.
While some believed the protests would worsen after St. Louis police shot and killed another black man earlier today, community “peacekeepers” helped quell the furor.
