Hey Don Lemon Why Do You LIE So Easily And Shamelessly on National TV?
This afternoon Ashleigh Banfield had a veritable cornucopia of stupidity on CNN when she invited former Congressman Ben Jones who also played “Cooter” on the “Dukes of Hazzard” show. First she condescendingly lied about his position in order to make him look racist, and then Don Lemon comes on to say they should start thinking about taking down the monument of Thomas Jefferson at the Capitol!
But Don REALLY pissed off this Latino “Dukes of Hazzard” fan when he blithely said there were absolutely no black characters on the show. After consulting with “Dukes of Hazzard” PhD and scholar @SaintRPH, he reminded me of Sheriff Little, a recurring character, and about a DOZEN other black characters on the show.
@jdozier216 @SooperMexican @donlemon check http://t.co/ipf8Rtoao6 there were dozens of African American actors on Dukes

So I made an Instagram video about it (since vines are so short):
Here’s the full video of one of Sheriff Little’s appearances:
So why do they have to keep lying about this stuff? It’s just insane. It almost makes me want to display a confederate flag to spite how much the left is lying about the issue.
Now is this a big deal? No. It doesn’t prove that the show was racist or non-racist either way. But people like Don Lemon just say such things based on their intellectual bias against this culture, not on any rational basis. And that’s how the destructive narrative works – Lemon just knows this society is racist, so he made up this fact about the Dukes of Hazzard because it’s probably true, which reinforces the racist society narrative in his viewers. It’s a vicious cycle. A cycle of stupid.
