Next Sports’ Illustrated Cover: Is RG3 Black Enough?
In case you missed it, ESPN contributor and abject idiot Rob Parker called Redskins’ quarterback Robert Griffin III a “cornball brother” based on rumors that he’s a Republican.
It’s amazing that this kind of commentary is taken seriously – the other ESPN sports analysts interview this pathetic moron Parker as if he’s some space alien, quizzically poking at his strange and foreign culture. If he had any shame, he’d be more offended at this treatment than anything RG3 is doing.
So I imagined a Sports Illustrated cover based on these ridiculous comments:
Yahoo has a transcript of the exact quote:
“I’ve talked to some people in Washington, D.C. Some people in [Griffin’s] press conferences. Some people I’ve known for a long time. My question, which is just a straight, honest question, is … is he a ‘brother,’ or is he a cornball ‘brother?’ He’s not really … he’s black, but he’s not really down with the cause.
He’s not one of us.
He’s kind of black, but he’s not really like the guy you’d want to hang out with. I just want to find out about him. I don’t know, because I keep hearing these things. He has a white fiancé, people talking about that he’s a Republican … there’s no information at all. I’m just trying to dig deeper into why he has an issue.
Go to Twitchy for the video and tweets about this idiocy.
UPDATE:
RG3 responds with class infinitely greater than the crap flung at him:
I’m thankful for a lot of things in life and One of those things is your support. Thank you
