Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder Vows to Stop Paying Taxes Until War Ends During Concert
Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder went on what seems like a hallucinogen-inspired rant at one of his concerts that many have interpreted as being anti-Israeli. He doesn’t directly mention the nation currently at war with terrorist group Hamas, but the general consensus is that it’s the only country that fit his comments.
Here’s the video:
After a general anti-war rant, he continues, “I get if war is the last resort… but I swear to f—ing god, there are people out there who are looking for a reason to kill.” He then described these villains as “looking for a reason to go across borders and take over land that doesn’t belong to them. They should get the f—out, and mind their own f—ing business.”
Finally, he announces that he’s going to commit tax fraud until all war ends: “We don’t want to give them our money. We don’t want to give them our taxes to drop bombs on children.”
As of the publishing of this post, war seems not to have abated around the world, surprisingly, despite Vedder’s insightful critique.
