Attack On The Media! Wendy Davis Campaign Goes After Rush Limbaugh’s ‘Infamous Outburst’
The Wendy Davis campaign is reeling after an expose in the Dallas Morning News that uncovered many embellishments and exaggerations in her life story, but they’re going on the offensive in a campaign email.
Rush Limbaugh was especially critical of the Texas gubernatorial hopeful, but it’s a little surprising for the campaign to attack the media so early on.
The campaign for Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis (D) hit back at her opponent Greg Abbott and conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh for attacking her personal life earlier this week.
In an email to supporters titled “They’re getting desperate,” Davis’ campaign manager Karin Johanson said the Texas state senator’s opponents would “try anything, including the typical dirty tricks we’re all tired of” to bring Davis down.
“I guess Rush Limbaugh just couldn’t help himself,” Johanson wrote.
Johnason criticized Limbaugh for having “one of his infamous outbursts,” referencing a recent show where he called Davis a “fraud.”
I very much doubt Rush will let this attack go unnoticed or without comment – especially since many news media commentators derided Chris Christie for being “desperate” in going after the media in his “bridgegate” scandal. Think there might be a double standard against the rotund Republican as opposed to the media’s favorite lying abortionist?
