Sidney Powell pleads guilty 6 counts of election interference, the Kraken is a Kra-Can’t!

I tried to warn ya’ll that Sidney Powell was a dumbass and that her accusations of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election were idiotic but some of you people are simply addicted to conspiracy theories.

Now it looks like Powell’s Kraken is a Kra-Can’t!!

Today she pleaded guilty to 6 counts of misdemeanor election interference, or more precisely, conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties.

I guess I should amend that, the Kraken is going to testify against the other defendants, which may include the sainted emperor Donald Trump!!

This is the same lady who said in December 2020 that Trump should declare martial law in the U.S. after the Supreme Court refused to hear a lawsuit about their election scam.

To be fair to the Trump campaign, they knew Powell was a dumbass quite a while ago because they dumped her from their team wayyy back in November 2020.

What is funny is that they wrote it as if she had never been on the team, but here’s a long ass press conference she had with Rudy Guiliani, who definitely was Trump’s attorney, and Jenna Ellis, who definitely was Trump’s attorney:

Of course, Guiliani has his own legal woes now and Ellis is now on Team DeSantis for 2024.

Anyway back to Powell – she kinda seemed to understand that she was slowly being tossed under the bus in April 2021 when she accused Trump of having the power to overturn the election results but failing to do so:

“He had the power and the means and the right to do what was needed to save our Republic before he left office, and he didn’t do it,” she said.

When she filed a lawsuit about election interference in November 2020, Twitter made fun of her because there were so many typos and mistakes in it. QAnon conspiracy morons laughed and said that this was a tactic to get people to read the lawsuit and prepare them for THE STORM where all the Democrats will be arrested and rounded up!!!

Still waiting on that one.

She used to be so confident. When she was sued by Dominion for $1.3 billion, she actually welcomed it and said she looked forward to discovery so that she could get all the evidence of their nefarious conspiracy!

“Yes, I can’t wait to take the deposition of Eric Coomer and other Dominion executives!” she said at the time. “I can’t wait to get at it!”

And also: “The discovery is going to be devastating!”

I wonder how that is gonna go after she admits to 6 charges of election interference.

Finally, in her defense in March 2021, she actually filed a statement in the Dominion case saying that “no reasonable person would conclude” that her statements about the election fraud “were truly statements of fact.”

Amazing.

Anyway, as part of her plea deal, she will hand over documents related to the offenses, she has turned in an apology letter, and will serve 6 years of probation, she has to pay $6k of a fine, $2.7k in restitution. Also, she must not have any contact with the media about the facts and circumstances of the case.

That may turn out to be nothing. Maybe she doesn’t have any evidence worth securing for criminal cases against the other codefendants.

But maybe she does. We’ll have to wait to find out.
